This unit replaces the older and larger UM150 with a higher SAR rating.

It does not have some of the features like LED lights to show the signal strength (wasted power anyway) or a memory card slot.

I use it with Verizon EVDO service and with the Access Manager it tells you the signal strength anyway so the lights were redundant.

It also works with CradlePoint WiFi Routers according to the 3G Store.

I also have a mini mag antenna for our car and an external antenna (RV Shorty) for use with the RV that really helps with weak signals.
