UIQ Technology, developer of UIQ Platform, the customizable user-interface platform for smartphones based on Symbian OS, today announces that the fifth Symbian UIQ based phone, the Motorola A925, is now available in Italy. The Motorola A925 is the second 3G UIQ based smartphone. The Motorola A925 incorporates the UIQ 2.0 user interface platform, based on Symbian OS v7.0. Highlights of the UIQ functionality integrated in the A925 include: - Messaging - SMS, EMS, MMS and Email - Agenda, calendar and contact management with personalization options - Excellent web browsing experience, including small screen rendering for better viewing - Bluetooth - Latest Java technology - Support for Infrared and PC connectivity The Motorola A925 offers video streaming and video calling as well as audio streaming and audio playback. It includes Assisted Global Positioning System (AGPS), an MP3 player and a built in speakerphone, handwriting recognition and polyphonic ringtones. The built-in Opera web browser included in the A925 comprises a full html browser. The large screen size together with the rich media features offer users the option of playing wide-screen games. Motorola A925 users can benefit from the large number of consumer and enterprise applications on the smartphone's integrated UIQ platform. There are currently more enterprise applications being created for UIQ than for any other smartphone based on Symbian OS, with over 720 applications available for download and purchase.
