Hi all, Well to make a long story short, I have an audiovox VX6600 and I was told by the "helpful" sales person at verizon wireless that I could use it as a modem for my computer to accsess verizon's high speed network. as of yet I have not been able to do so. I even tried verizon's tech support to no avail. I believe they may have hired a number of mentally retarded chimps though. Funny thing, they told me the same thing when I bought the treo 600 and the samsung i700 also. so.. is there anyone out there who knows if or how this can be done? I would buy a wireless card but I have a power book G4 12 inch with bluetooth but no card slot. HELP! Queequeg P.S. I used to be able to go on line with it until I jumped on the PDA-Phone wagon.Tongue

Verizon has an extra Tethering feature that allows you to use your PDA as a modem.

Typically Verizon reps can only assist you if you pay extra for Tethering.

Unauthorized tethering is a violation of Verizon's Terms & Conditions which read, in part:

"Unlimited PDA/Smartphone and BlackBerryr Plans: These VZEmail plans cannot be used: (1) for access to the Internet, intranets or other data networks except as the device’s native applications & capabilities permit unless you subscribe to the Tethering Feature; (2) for any applications that tether your device to laptops, personal computers other than for use of the Wireless Sync or BlackBerry Solutions, unless you subscribe to the Tethering Feature; (3) for uploading, downloading or streaming of movies, music or games unless offered through Get It Now or V CAST; (4) with server devices or with host computer applications, including without limitation, Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, telemetry applications, automated functions or any other machine-to-machine application; or peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, and/or (5) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections
