usb cradle against netlib sockets

I am fist time here so please excuse me if my question is not appropriate for thie thread.

I wrote an palm app that connects to an http desktop server. The client is connected in LAN with an Ethernet - usb hub.

At this moment I leave aside the Ethernet hub and I try to use my app with an usb cradle.

My question: Is it possible to use sockets in this configuration? and how?
