Hi Vivalaraza,

The article is about a radio station in San Antonio that has made their website cellphone-friendly.

If you go to http://mobile.woai.com then you will see that the site is condensed into small pieces, stripped of big pictures and graphics that would bog down the limited memory on your phone, etc

So it encourages local listeners to stay in touch with the local info via their cellphone. A really smart marketing play by this radio station!

I was wondering if anyone else knew of radio or TV stations in their area that have made their websites cellphone-friendly so that users can get local traffic info, local weather, etc

Try this one

KSHB TV in Kansas City http://mobile.kshb.com/wap/stations/

Are there radio or TV stations in your area that have made their websites cellphone-friendly? Post them here.

OK, here ya go. Lots of 'em.

Plug in the website on your phone's browser

Go to http://www.localwireless.com/wap/?r=available and find your city.

Most of them have Local News, Weather & Sports and some even have Local Traffic or other features.

Have fun.
