They are talking about opt-in now. How many believe it's just a matter of time before it's non opt-out? How's it look to you? ------------------------------- Vindigo unveils wireless marketing program NEW YORK-Mobile content provider Vindigo will unveil an interactive mobile marketing program this week for advertisers looking to reach wireless users through their phones. The offering allows marketers to create lists of users who've opted in for SMS and e-mail marketing campaigns. The offering builds on Vindigo's current marketing services, which include advertising on WAP sites and sponsored downloadable content offerings. A subsidiary of Japanese mobile media giant For-Side.com, Vindigo sells mobile content and applications. The company also boasts 150 advertising clients including Cadillac and MasterCard. "Direct response advertising on cell phones is a critical part of the equation," said Jason Devitt, president and chief executive officer of Vindigo. "With this new functionality, a consumer can respond to an advertisement by providing text messaging information, an e-mail address, or by clicking-to-call-all without ever putting down the phone."
