Appreciate any guidance from you good folks toward an immediate purchase. At this time I would like a basic cell phone (bells & whistles not needed). I'm in Fla., USA. Thinking T-Mobile for best reception - agree/disagree? Is 4-band useful in the U.S.? My #1 requirement for the phone other than a thing to talk on is simply the display size & key visibility, as I have limited vision. Would also be nice to have key workability-without-frequent-frustration-of-mashing-the-wrong-key My #1 wish but not necessity is bluetooth-compatible for use as a modem only on occasion with my Sony Clie UX50. I've been to the T-Mobile salespeople (2 in person & 1 on the phone). I've researched all T-Mobile compatible phones online, 'tho I rarely find specs for the size of the display. I've also talked with an online headset rep. Actually, COST (considering both phone & plan and start-up fees) is a primary consideration probably more so than my aforementioned "requirement" and "wish." So, I'm thinking of T-Mobile's "Get More 1000" plan for $39.99/mo. I do NOT need a plan that covers data at this time, as the Bluetooth feature would only be something of interest at some unknown time in the future (should I be travelling). T-Mobile's BlackBerry 1000 Minutes & unlimited data for $59.99/mo. is too steep for me at present. I find Motorola RAZR V3 w. free bluetooth headset available in my area through cellularaccessory.com for $0 after rebate and a return of $50 with activation. Display size is 2.2” I find T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8100 available at 1shopwireless.com for $0 after rebate and a waiving of the activation fee if I order NOW (by April 8) plus a free Plantronics Explorer 320 Bluetooth Headset. Regarding a headset -- I'd like an inexpensive one and it need NOT be Bluetooth. A Plantronics Over-the-Head with In-line Volume Control for $29.95 would be fine for me. So, any advice regarding my choice of carrier, phone, and best place to buy? Any and all tips & opinions & experiences sincerely appreciated! Thanks!
