I just spent the last two hours with people at 800.331.6456 and 817.245.6000. I'm looking for the 17 pin connector that is on the V710 (and many others). This is the connector that is on the phone, not the one on the charger/data cable. I found the "mate" (charger/data cable), but cannot seem to find the one that is soldered to the pcb (printed circuit board) of the phone. A while back, I tripped over the charger cable and destroyed the connector. Since then, I have unsoldered it, but I can't find a replacement connector and can't get through to anyone at motorola that wants to help. Any thoughts? Help?

Thanks in Advance,

Hi Kathy,

If you can't get the part you need then you might want to check ebay or even the buy/sell/trade forums on this site and buy a cheap used phone then disassemble it for the part you need.

I thought about that, but it's easier said than done... The connector has a ground shield that's virtually impossible to remove/unsolder without destroying the inner plastic.
