I scored two prime tickets off EBay to see The Rolling Stones last night. What a concert! What a great time! Those old geezers are so full of energy! But it was interesting to note that just prior to them coming on stage we noticed one of the setup crew members hand writing their track list in felt marker onto the drum shield for the evenings performance. Then throughout the show we noticed Mick constantly checking the hand written list for reference. Maybe alzheimer's is setting in?
Although he needed constant reminders of what to play next, Mick was all over the stage carrying on like a man 30 years his junior. Ron and Keith were hammering the strings like there was no tomorrow. Charlie pounded crazy beats all night long. I was up and down more times than a piston in a V8 on race day. I had such a silly grin on my face that I think my girlfriend Terri probably thought I'd gone nutty.
The tunes were so loud my ears are still ringing. Terri was smart. She brought ear plugs. But I was stubborn and didn't care to use any.
All I can say was WOW! It was worth every penny!
....it was section 228, Row 2, Seats 23 & 24 adjacent to the stage!
....it was the most fantastic concert I've ever attended!
....it was Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood together with Charlie Watts!
....it was The Rolling Stones "A Bigger Bang World Tour!"
