Sprint's recent roll out of high speed for cell phone internet access and for wireless laptop internet access is an impressive list of cities and metropolitan areas. The high speed service, known as Mobile Broadband (alternately known as EV-DO) allows internet browsing at DSL type speeds on the phones or on laptops equipped with Sprint's connection card. (Finding a list of rival carriers coverage for similar offerings has proved difficult, but will be posted when possible. Cingular has said they have high speed in 16 cities and Verizon service is not available in about 25 of the areas on Sprint's list. Alltel is known to have rolled out high speed in just a handful of cities so far. ) Sprint's high speed major market areas are as follows: Atlanta GA Atlantic City NJ Austin TX Baltimore MD Birmingham AL Boise ID Boston MA Buffalo NY Charlotte NC Chattanooga TN Chicago IL Cincinnati OH Cleveland OH Columbus OH Corpus Christi TX Dallas-Fort Worth TX Denver CO Des Moines IA Detroit MI Ft Myers FL Grand Rapids MI Greensboro-Winston Salem Hartford CT Hawaii Houston TX Indianapolis IN Jacksonville FL Kalamazoo IN Kansas City MO/KS Kingsport/Johnson City TN Key West FL Knoxville TN Las Vegas NV Lexington KY Little Rock AR Los Angeles CA Louisville KY McAllen/ Brownsville TX Memphis TN Miami / Ft Lauderdale FL Milwaukee WI Minneapolis/ St Paul MN Nashville TN Newark/Trenton NJ New York City NY Norfolk VA Oklahoma City OK Omaha NE Orlando FL Philadelphia PA Phoenix AZ Pittsburgh PA Portland ME Portland OR Providence RI Raleigh/ Durham NC Reno NV Richmond VA Sacramento CA Salt Lake City San Antonio TX San Diego CA San Francisco CA Seattle WA St Cloud MN St Louis MO Tallahassee FL Tampa FL Toledo OH Tucson AZ Tulsa OK Victoria TX Washington DC Wichita KS
