I picked up Xingtone' ringtone creator which says it's compatible with Sprint PCS. I followed the instructions to create my ringtone and all I have to do is d/l it to my phone via text message.

But when I try to d/l the ringtone I've created, I get this message:

Bad Gateway
The proxiy server received an invalid
response from an upstream server.

Apache/2.152 (CentOS)
server at
dl1.xingtone.com port 80.

I re-sent the ringtone a couple of times, cutting it back to just 5 seconds to see if it would go through, but no joy. Any suggestions?

Hi Orion,

Are you able to email the ringtone as an attachment, then open and save it, instead of texting a link to the server?

What model phone are you using?

 I have a Sanyo-2300

Xingtone texts the link to the ringtone to me; I then (in theory) open that and import the file to my phone. Unfortunately it's at this point that I get the "Bad Gateway" message above. The Xingtone people think their gateway is good, but I can't even pull down a 5-second ringtone from them. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.
