I am an ex Nextel subscriber who owns a Nextel Motorola V60G GSM phone. Because delivery of my generic Treo 600 has been pushed into the next century I Need a GSM phone for an upcoming trip to Europe. I don't want to buy one since I already own a perfectly good one. However to get it to work with a SIM provided by any carrier other than Nextel I need to enter the "Subsidy Password" so that the new SIM can be activated. I intend to use a pre-paid card from Orange or O2 or similar when I arrive in London.
After just about two hours on the phone yesterday with Nextel I finally found someone who actually had heard of a "Subsidy Password" but had no clue at all where to go to get it.
Please, if anyone knows what the code is or who can tell me where to go to get it, please respond.
