RESTON, Va. Dec. 1, 2003 - Nextel Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:NXTL) today announced the availability of two new convenient methods for Nextel customers to receive their entire monthly bill through an e-mail attachment or by fax at no additional cost. In addition to being able to access invoices on www.nextel.com, the Electronic Invoice Delivery options will enable Nextel customers to get things done quickly and easily with automatic printing via fax or click-and-print via the e-mail attachment. "Nextel's award-winning commitment to customers continues with the addition of these billing options," said Dick LeFave, senior vice president and chief information officer for Nextel. "We're focused on providing the best customer care through strategic investments in our people, our network and back office systems." Nextel customers with five or less wireless phones wishing to receive their bill through e-mail or fax can visit http://www.nextel.com/mynextel/ to set up their preferred billing option. "Once we completed our billing systems conversion last year, we turned our attention to facilitating the fax and e-mail functionality," added LeFave. Earlier this year, the company enabled customers to access their invoices and call detail as well as up-to-date cellular and Nextel Direct Connect(TM) walkie-talkie usage, at no additional charge via the Web.
