LITTLE ROCK, Ark. November 17, 2003 - ALLTEL today introduced a national prepaid wireless service package developed for small-business customers and available at more than 350 SAM's CLUB locations across the United States.
Known as the Simple Freedom Professional Series, the package is priced at $89.72 and includes the Nokia 3585i handset, 100 minutes of airtime at activation, wireless hands-free kit and chargers for car and home.
Simple Freedom Professional Series wireless airtime cards - available at SAM's CLUB - offer extended service periods for customers and are available in increments of $25 and $55.
"ALLTEL's new Simple Freedom Professional Series service fits very well with SAM's CLUB's emphasis on serving value and budget-conscious small businesses and consumers," said Dan Lohr, ALLTEL executive vice president for sales and distribution. "Simple Freedom is an easy and convenient wireless service in a ready-to-use format."
The plan offers nationwide calling and does not require a deposit or contract, and customers do not receive a bill. Other features include no long-distance charges, voicemail, text messaging, caller ID, call waiting, downloadable ring tones and the largest local calling area available for prepaid wireless, reaching more than 90 percent of the nation's population at a rate of 25 cents per local minute.
