w810i audio quality

I was about to buy this phone until i read some reviews which mentioned the "hissing" sounds that are quite noticeable when listening to music. Should this be a major concern for me, as i want to buy a mp3 phone? Should this also be a concern for me not to buy the phone? Is this also one of the best mp3 phones?

Even if your post is quite old I want to answer this question to defend the honor of the w810 Wink

I used this for for almost two xears without any problem. And concerning the sound quality I can´t say any bad word nor either.

Hi,

I've also skimmed a few reviews of this phone at http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/sony-ericsson-w810i.htm and http://cellphones.about.com/...y_ericsson_w810i.htm. The first describes the sound quality as "superb." In the second, the average sound quality rating among w810i phone users was four stars out of a possible five.

I'd say go for it!

If you are really concerned, though, you could always buy another Sony Ericsson model. There is a great selection of Sony Ericsson phones at http://www.cell-phone-plans.net/...turer/sony-ericsson/.

Well i havent come across a w810 that didnt have a hiss.. it's definitely there but you can only hear it when listening through quality earphones or headphones. this is quite common with most phones though it seems.
