Thanks teleguy. However, problem is that phone won't power up. I've been told that it needs a new e-prom, and chip replacement seems to be beyond the capabilities of local Sprint repair. Moreover, National Sprint will not undertake any repair. What I need is a reliable source who knows what they're doing and are willing to do it. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about the dead end with Sprint. I thought that they did also have a National service. I will have to check some more on that.

I am assuming the phone is no longer under warranty? No insurable damage that caused this?

I found this post "Cell Phone Doctors" in one of the General Forum threads. Not sure if these guys got up and running, but you could PM them to find out. http://www.cell-phone-plans.net/...t=search_engine#1602

Other than that, does anybody else out there have a contact for phone repair?

Good luck, hyrabin.

I am very sorry to hear that, but i have a solution for you.the only option is to find a copper cable and connect it from the charging port terminal to the power button. because from what you say , it a hardware problem and not a software problem. i am a phone repair here in nigeria and i have been handling such a problem. i hope you will find someone that will help you do it because it has been for me.
