Hi,

I'm doing this "pre-proposal" for one of my Comp Sci courses and I want to critique the design of the Nokia 6225. I'm looking for owners or users of this phone for some input. What are some of the flaws that you have found in the Nokia 6225? I have looked for reviews online and basically people only have 2 cons: screen size and battery life. I personally came up with a couple of problems, mostly design issues such as:

-Pop-Port connector for the hands-free. I find the other ones, like that for 8390, are much easier to use and less likely to break.

-on/off button. I have small fingers but I still have trouble with that button.

-other buttons. They're too close together. I keep pressing the wrong one when I have my gloves on.

I'm just looking for inputs from normal, regular users. I'm not looking for anything technical.

Thanks!
J Kwok

HI,
I am the owner of a Nokia 6225, some of the disadvantages i have found with the phone is also the very short battery life and the power button on the top of the phone. Another thing i have found was that in order to use the camera on the back of the phone you have to have really, really bright lighting.i have also found that if you are on the internet on the phone, then sometimes the whole screen freezees and the phone shuts off. My family lives in Delaware and I live in New Jersey, so another thing i found is that if you talk on the phone for like an hour to an hour and a half, you could have a full battery when you start talking but only have 2 lines of battery left after you get done. My service provider is Sprint, and when i bought my phone it said on the box of the phone that it came with an FM/AM Headset which is used for the radio, so i opened the box and the only thing that was in there was a charger and a book so i think the Nokia company is trying to jip you off any way they can. Well that's all i have found, I hope this helps.Smile

I have a 6225 and I use this phone in Movicom Bellsouth, in Argentina. I agree with the short duration of battery, mainly in analog mode.
Other issue about this model is in analog mode, after talk and hang up, sometimes the display appears "stained". It is, perhaps, by cause of electromagnetic strength of the antenna. After a lot of time, it dissapears.
I personally have problems with the limitation of features restricted by my company, such limited size of attachments fot MMS messages, upload applications from computer, and so on.
In summary, I consider that the major problem of this model is the SHORT battery life.
