Hey guys um......i brought a nokia 6230 recently off some guy Crazy (fool) and now everytime i turn it off it says simcard registration failed, i read up on it and it says its because some1's blocked the phone Frown but i also found out you can change the IMEI number, in turn unblocking your phone. The thing is i have no idea how to do this, and i'd rather have a working phone and not waste it, any help would be great, thanks. kind regards, liam

This does not sound correct. The IMEI can be blocked, however most service providers do not fool with blocking IMEIs--too much trouble and honestly they dont care if someone steals your phone and the person that stole it trys to activate it. they save money by not selling you a new phone. Anyway, unless you have the equipment, changing the IMEI is going to be impossible. They equipment to do this will probably cost more than a new phone. My best guess is you need a new SIM unless the phone may be bad. Tough call.. Good Luck!
