I have a new MPx220 (not a 200). I read the book on how to make your own ringtones. So I saved an mp3 on my computer that is 29 seconds long at 128kbs. On my computer I went to Storage, App data, and then to sounds and dragged my ringtone into there and synced it to my phone. It shows up in the Sounds menu of my phone but it does not play the ringtone. All it plays is a little beep when I hit play and when I select it as my ringtone, the phone automatically switchs to the standard ringtone. When I go to the ringtone file in the phone through the file viewer menu, it plays fine with WMP. But it will not play at all in the ringtone/sounds menu. What's going on? It is an MP3 and is about 480KB. I have about 5 other ringers with the same properties as this one and they all play fine. What's up with mine?
