Hi. I have a question about the sms/mms capacity of the E398. Is this normal for a phone with 5Mb onboard that the message memory gets full with only 10 messages or so (inbox/outbox)? With my Siemens Mc60 (with 1,87Mb) it was possible to have a lot more messages. And it was also possible to store (text)messages, a function that I can't find on the E398. Any suggestions?

If you have received some MultiMedia messages with video or audio , it can take up a lot of memory in a hurry since these can be fairly large files. Have you used an expansion card on this phone?

Yes, I use the 64Mb Transflash. But it's mostly a problem with sms, it seems that the E398 doesn't store them in the memory but on the sim-card. So the capacity is very limited and no possibility to store the messages in a sort of archive. I don't understand why Motorola did this since the phone has 5Mb onboard and mem-expansion on the T-flash.
