Hi Medic,

Was this working previously for you and now it is not? Have you tried Restore to Factory Settings?

This was a Brand New Phone - Original Factory settings.
I Used the Automated configuration Vodafone NZ has to configure the MPx220 phone with no sucess.
So I used the Vodafone Help desk and was unable to sucessfully connect to Vodafone Live, or any other web site.
Then I used the Motorola Help desk and was unable to sucessfully connect to Vodafone Live, or any other web site.

I returned the phone to the supplier, and even they could not configure any of there MPx220 phones to the NZ Vodafone Web site.

The Phone does work as a phone on the NZ networks Ie as a phone and using texting. But you are not able to achieve internet, GPRS, and WAP access.

It is a nice phone. But not suited i belive for the NZ market. Well not until Vodafone decide to support the phone.

If you have any suggestions it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Martyn,

If the dealer was unable to provision ANY of it's stock of 220s correctly, then I'd advise going with another model that they can setup correctly.

It may be that they received a bad batch of phones. Or that there is a systematic configuration that they have got wrong.

Either way no reason for you to beat your head against the wall and lose out with no connectivity on the phone. Pick out a different model and ask them for free upgrade in the future. If they get the problem fixed you could have your 220 then.
