Yes, there is a market for a waterproof phone!
I need a phone that can I can take surfing. I am on-call most of the time and I like to go surfing on my time off. Cell phone waterproof cases are bulky, and dangerous in high surf. I saw the news article on the LG CanU 502S.

However, it is only designed for momentary dunking. How about making it waterproof to 15 meters? Then it could take a pounding. I could dive under a wave or get thrown from one and not have to worry about my phone shorting out. Please also include a wrist strap with the phone >> I could then tie it to my shorts.
A waterproof phone would also eliminate the hassles of damaging my phone when I go hiking in rain forests or get caught in winter rains.
I hope the folks at LG Electronics read these messages. Not only do I spent my leisure time on the water, I work on a ship. I've lost 3 phones to water damage in the last 3 years. Finally there is a phone for people who work and play in a wet environment. Keep up the good work!
