I just purchased the vx 6000 phone. If I receive a text message, and don't have my phone with me, it appears that the only way I can determine if a message is waiting is by opening the phone. Isn't there a display on the front of the phone that will remain lit as an alert that there is message waiting or do I always have to open the phone to check for messages?
