Be sure you notified Verizon that it was stolen. You might consider asking Verizon to disable the phone so it cannot be used to run up a big bill in your name instead of hoping to catch him by tracking who he calls. (Do you think his friends will tell on him?) Ask Verizon what they recommend, but I would strongly encourage you to shut it off. The likelihood of you getting a big bill is greater than the chance of fingering the thief, I would think. Also ask Verizon if the phone book and personal info can be erased remotely. I know my carrier has this capability and uses it in these situations. Yes if an eBay seller won't provide ESN, then you DEFINITELY don't want to buy that phone. There is a good chance that it is stolen. You are correct that it would make no sense for someone to activate the ESN on their account without having the phone. As far as your pics, had you uploaded them to Verizon's PixPlace site? You might have without even realizing it. getitnow.vzwshop.com/getpixflix.main.do# Let us know how it turns out, especially what Verizon does or doesn't help with.
