Pix Messaging? Why do i get sent to a site to get pics instead of them being recieved right to my phone.

I need help, friends try to send me pics and it sends me to some pix thing online to get them. My plan has 80 pics a month so i don't see why i can't get them to my phone. Also when i go to that site to get the pix it says that the page is not found!?!?!?!? Help please!!!
