If your batter is dying fast after a full charge then it's probably not been charged properly in the past.
Some batteries have a memory. They remember how much of a charge they were able to hold in the past and will only hold so that much juice. As time goes on it is easy to forget this and mess up your battery memory by charging the phone before the battery is totally dead.
So go purchase a new battery but from now on don't charge it ever until your phone notifies you that the battery is dying. And once you plug your phone into the charger always let it charge fully before unplugging it. If you don't that can also mess up your battery memory.
