Help!!

I got an LG VX5200 about a month and a half ago.
It has not been subject to
a) rain
b) heat
c) dropping
d) any other extraneous conditions

however.
it will not function.
I turn it on, and the white verizon screen appears and the red light turns on, but it will not go further than that
even after removing the battery and reinserting it, the problem still persists

what's going on with my phoooooooooooooone??!!
any ideas how to fix this? thanks in advance!

Perhaps you accidentally locked it by holding the pound key # down for 3 seconds.

To unlock, press the right soft key (uppermost key on right) and enter your unlock code.

Other than that, I'm not sure of the cause but it should be under warranty for a year. I'd get it back to the store post haste for a new one.
