Hi. I bought a Kyocera Slider phone last May and it worked great, but one day it got dropped. Now it isn't working right. It dials out and rings when it receives calls, but you can't hear on it, and the person you're calling can't hear. When I try to activate the speaker phone, it says please unplug the accessory as if it had a headset plugged in.

Took it to a Verizon repair facility, but the guy just popped the battery off and looked at the back and said it was due to water damage (because of the way the sticker looked). It's never been in water, but it has been in the sauna and may have had some condensation that caused the sticker to fray a little. And there was never any problem until it was dropped.

Has anyone else ever had a similar problem or know a way to take these phones apart?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this resulted from being dropped, do you have insurance on it? Your insurance would typically cover water damage or other most likely. Check your Terms and call the hotline to make a claim if you are able.

If not, since it's still under warranty you might try giving it one more try at a different Verizon store.
