mp3 on 8940

I have copied mp3s to my mini-SD card but cannot open them with my 8940. Does anybody have any suggestions.

Does this happen with just one SD card or with all of them?

What error message do you get when you try to run your mp3s ?

I read something about changing the file extension from .mp3 to .mdi

This may work since neither the Verizon website nor the Audiovox website make the claim that the CDM8940 can play mp3 files. Try changing them to midi and download them again.

its probably the format. check teh ext after teh file

You must put the mp3 in the right file on your phone. Usually the "Music" or other related
