The Cheap Version Of The iPhone Will Put Pressure On Motorola, Nokia RIM

Credit Suisse said today, with a large number of low-end Android phones to market, and next year is expected to launch low-cost version of Apple's iPhone, the next 12 to 18 months, the smart phone industry, competitive pressures are likely to increase, while Nokia, RIM and Motorola mobile will face serious challenges.

Credit Suisse believes that, with the low-end smartphones increasingly replacing feature phones, the overall size of the mobile phone market will continue to grow. Apple and Samsung in the smartphone market will become the biggest winner, and RIM, Nokia and Motorola mobile will be declining.

Credit Suisse downgraded the stock of Motorola's mobile to "underperform." The Company believes that, despite the Android phone will continue to maintain growth momentum, but the low-end Motorola mobile smartphone market in as little, there may therefore left behind. In addition, Samsung, HTC and other manufacturers of competition may also lead to loss of U.S. market share of Motorola's mobile.

Credit Suisse believes that Apple released in 2012 is likely a low-cost version of the iPhone, but "difficult to predict accurately the time." Credit Suisse downgrades RIM's stock to "neutral", to maintain Nokia's "underperform" rating. The Company believes that low-cost version of the iPhone (wholesale cell phone covers) is likely to further erode the market share of both companies.

Nokia on Tuesday released new smart machine N9, equipped with MeeGo operating system. Analysts believe that Nokia has decided to embrace Windows Phone platform context, N9 future is uncertain. Credit Suisse said: "Although Nokia hand Microsoft's strategic decision-making may be correct, but we believe that this change is facing difficulties, increased competition in the smartphone (cell phone cases wholesale) market, especially in the case."

Credit Suisse believes that, RIM's shift to the QNX operating system will be very slow, and at every price point is facing fierce competition, but said RIM's share price is not high. As the poor performance last quarter, and the delay in release exciting new products, RIM's stock has fallen $ 26 below the lowest level in nearly five years.

RIM acknowledged last week that failed to update an aging product line of intelligent machines, and cut full-year outlook. In addition, the company will implement layoffs, number of people involved is not clear.from: (cheap cell phone cases)
