Top 10 Verizon Wireless Upgrades
Is it that time already? Has it really been two years? If you’re contract with Verizon Wireless is expiring, then you’re in luck. Right now, there are some particularly excellent and buzzworthy Verizon Wireless upgrades on offer. In fact, many of these phones are worth jumping ship and switching from AT&T or T-Mobile for. Check out what Verizon Wireless customers are trading up for on our Top 10 Verizon Wireless upgrades list:
Motorola Droid
Thank the huge advertising push for the heightened interest in the Motorola Droid. This marks Motorola’s first wow-worthy entry into the smartphone space in quite sometime, with much thanks to the Android 2.0 operating system. It also has a full QWERTY keyboard and a 5-megapixel camera with a flash. Cool!
Fun fact: Make all the “This is the Droid you’re looking for” jokes you want, but be sure you pay George Lucas what he’s due for coining the term droid – Verizon did. Watch carefully the next time a Droid Does commercial comes on at the bottom of the screen – you’ll notice a little caveat saying that the word “Droid” was used by permission from Lucas Arts.
HTC Droid Eris
Or maybe this is the Droid you’ve been looking for? HTC has been cranking out the Android handsets for quite some time and made the biggest waves with its HTC Hero from Sprint. The HTC Droid Eris is the Verizon Wireless version of the HTC Hero with a few improvements. It lacks a full physical QWERTY keyboard, but most won’t miss it – especially since its much more pocketable than its Motorola cohort.
BlackBerry Storm2
Another phone that burst into the public psyche proclaimed as an iPhone killer, the BlackBerry Storm is still clicking it cool with it’s unique touchscreen and patently RIM productivity chops. But an updated software and a few other tweaks make the next version – the BlackBerry Storm2 – even more enviable. Check it out.
