The iPhone 4 Fatal Flaw, Calling Left Handed
Everyone that lined up to purchase their Apple iPhone 4 there is a little bit of a problem. Your gleaming new amazing and shiny device has a very grave defect. Sorry I think, I’d feel worse but I don’t have to worry about this problem with my Android phone.
If you’re like many people you’re probably completely over hearing the OH MY GOD THE IPHONE 4 and I don’t blame you. There’s another story coming out that you might be sick of too but this one seems really true and that’s that of OH MY GOD IPHONE 4 RECEPTION BREAKS WHEN YOU CALL LEFT HANDED. It could be a little more annoying but it definitely looks like its real.
Where the problem occurs apparently is if you’re holding the iPhone 4 in your left hand. This covers a portion at the lower left corner of the phone where the phone’s antenna where there is a gap with the antenna that’s adjoining the device. One of my friends was so happy to get the new iPhone but his joy began to dissipate. While going through the phone the screen shows a loss of signal when being used. It can go from being great at four bars and quickly fall down to nothing, possibly one. When you return the phone to the other hand than the signal will actually return to full strength.
You don’t have to take my word for it. You can look into it further and make an examination of the evidence through another 3rd party site which is collecting reports from disbelieving users, observations which have come from wireless engineers and there’s more out there. There’s actually even an online petition which is pleading with Apple to pay attention and listen to their most dedicated customers.
Apple had one their publicist send along a statement from the company. It stated that through gripping any cell phone is going to cause some sort of attenuation of the performance you get from the antenna. It goes on to say that certain places are going to be worse than others depending on the antennas placement and that it’s just a simple life fact for all cell phones. They state that if you ever go through this with your iPhone 4 that you should just make sure that you don’t grip it in the lower left so that it covers both of the sides of the metal bands black strip or that you should just use one of the many available cases.
Apparently CEO Jobs emailed a much less kind comment to one of the iPhone 4 users stating that, “Just avoid holding it that way.”
It’s unfortunate that all of these iPhone 4 users aren’t able to call left handed anymore. Though I’ll admit the people that had to sit through the 95 degree heat waiting outside of the stores and then to just find out that the newest, latest and greatest smartphone is a little funny. As I finish off with this piece I’m about to make a call on my Android phone, with what hand you many wonder, left handed of course. I’m able to do that.
