Take Your Smartphone

Setting off on a trip?  Create a list. Play it smart!  Include your smartphone.
You know what experienced travelers say, now don’t you?  Take half as much luggage and twice as much money, if you please.   That bon mot is passé.  In our present global market where  credit cards are ubiquitous and are accepted by street vendors in much of the Third World, you are well advised to play it Smart!  Some would caution you to take a good look at roaming costs while calling long distance to ensure that you acknowledge your daughter’s birthday.

Remember what the first astronauts had to say about scanning for borders while they were orbiting our planet.  They couldn’t seem to find any and that’s the way the world is becoming.  So go on!  Remember to take your smartphone.  If you don’t, you’ll be  a dummy and your smartphone left alone at home will not do you a whit of good.   Striving to hold down your communication costs while trying to get permission from Oshawa or Ottawa to close that deal with Mongolia might prove somewhat expensive if you do not have  a SIM card from Roadpost. .  Roadpost SIM cards are designed with Canadian and U.S. travelers in mind.

Where does GSM come in?  First of all what does it mean?  GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications.  Fido and Rogers are the two Canadian carriers but much of the rest of the world also uses GSM.   Let it be noticed that if you have been sent to China  or anywhere else where long distance calls home you should  make sure that you have a SIM card in your smartphone.  From China for example to Canada long distance calls eat up the budget at the rate of $3.00 per minute compared to the Chinese SIM card which will erase much of the cost about ninety percent of the cost.  You do the math.
