Meet the myTouch 3g Fender LE

Do you have this Cat Stevens song stuck in your head? We certainly do, thanks to those non-stop myTouch 3G commercials. But now you can associate another famous musician to T-Mobile’s flagship Android phone: Eric Clapton.
The HTC myTouch 3G Fender LE comes with a distinctive sunburst-sinpired design and the Fender logo on the back. As a smartphone geared towards music junkies, the limited edition Fender myTouch 3G has a revamped design and enhanced features for the music player along with a 3.5mm audio jack which allows you to use any standard set of headphones. You also get a 16 GB memory card included, but if you need even more space you can upgrade to a 32 GB card.
The phone also comes preloaded with some rockin’ Eric Clapton jams, including Layla, My Father’s Eyes, Rock ‘N’ Roll Heart, Wonderful Tonight and others. For whatever reason, you also get tunes from Wyclef Jean, Avril Lavinge and Brad Paisley.
Music syncs using Multimedia Sync by doubleTwist, a music library solution sometimes touted as an up and coming iTunes killer. This method of syncing is much preferable to other Android phones, which force you to awkwardly drag and drop your MP3s via Windows Explorer.
To get your myTouch 3G LE even more like Eric Clapton’s, you can deck it out with his preferred apps and accessories, including:
- Rehearsal Assistant – a mini-recording studio that lets you playback and save sound clips.
- Solo Guitar – A virtual pocket guitar that lets you strum along on your myTouch 3G.
- WeatherBug – Lets you know what to pack when traveling coast to coast, rain or shine.
- Locale – Locale automatically changes your phone settings depending on your location. Walking into a movie theatre? The phone goes on silent. Sitting in the office? Your NSFW wallpaper and themes automatically skidaddle.
- Shazam – Can’t remember the name of that song? Run it through Shazam and it’ll name that tune.
- Fender Leather Sleeve – Eric Clapton has a matching cell phone sleeve to keep his myTouch 3G safe and sound.
