Cell Phone Emergency Tips
UNLOCKING YOUR CAR
If you lock your keys in your car, and you have remote keyless entry, you can use your cell phone to unlock your car. If your spare keys are at home, call someone there on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your phone about a foot away from your car door, while having the person on the other end hold the remote close to their phone while they press the unlock button. The door should unlock, and you will save them the trip of bringing your spare keys to you. This will work from any distance, and will also open the trunk, as long as you can reach someone with the other keyless remote for your car on a mobile to mobile call.
ATM PIN NUMBER REVERSAL
This is not for your cell phone, but still good to know. If you are ever forced by a mugger or thief to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify to police by entering your PIN number in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would key in 4321. The ATM will recognize that the number you entered was the reverse of the PIN number associated with the card you put into the machine.
The machine will dispense the money requested, but unknown to the mugger, the police will be dispatched to your location.
