HanDBase for iPhone Announcement
DDHsoftware.com, makers of the popular HanDBase software, have announced the release of HanDBase for iPhone. This software allows users to develop custom databases on their iPhone, as well as sync to desktop databases when utilizing the optional Windows Desktop companion.
This version of the HanDBase is designed to maximize the finger-friendly navigation of iPhone, allowing users to move between fields and records with a swipe of their finger. This version has all the great features users expect from HanDBase, including custom views, sorting, filtering, and the most advanced search capabilities available.
HanDBase for iPhone also allows access to the HanDBase Gallery, an online repository of over 2,000 database designs which can be installed right from the iPhone. Users can customize their database for optimum look, feel and access. With HanDBase, records and files can be emailed of course, and the Desktop Connect feature allows users to wirelessly access databases via any Internet browser. Users can also import/export CSV files, or sync to third-party database applications like Filemaker Pro and MS Access. The possibilities are wide open.
HanDBase for iPhone also upgraded the security. It uses a unique method of encrypting which allows users to pick and choose which fields and records to be encrypted, and which ones do not. This way a user can view or open records without having to waste time decrypting the entire database. A feature that fits in with the ease, accessibility and speed that iPhone users expect.
Further upgrades are in the works, including a desktop sync application for Mac Users.
