Five New Android Tablets Announced By Archos Ranging From $100-$350

The Galaxy Tab from Samsung wasn’t the sole Android table to make an appearance at the IFA show in Berlin. Archos is also joining the party and entering into the tablet market.
They’re introducing, not just one, but actually five different tablets, including, the shining star of the line:
•    10.1 inch tablet which costs merely $300
The 10.1 inch table is called the Archos 10-1 and comes in weighing only 16 ounces which is far less than the 24 ounce bulk that you get with the iPad. This is despite the Archos 10-1 having a stainless steel frame. Just like the Galaxy Tab, the Archos 10-1 has a 1024×600 display. The 8 gigabyte version is going to cost only $300 while you can spend only $50 more and get the 16 gigabyte version.
Like stated above that’s not the sole tablet announced by Archos. Staying with their style of categorization with the 10-1 tablet, which has the product name as the actual display size of the tablet, there’s also the:
•    7, which shares the Galaxy Tab form factor and only costs $275 for the 16 gigabyte or $350 in order to get a 250 gigabyte drive
•    4-3, which is comparable in function, has 16 gigabytes of memory, HDMI mini out, microSD slot, 2 megapixel still camera which runs on an 800 MHz ARM CPU and HD video recording – Cost for this is only $200
•    The 3-2 is the nefarest to the size of the popular iPod Touch and is just $150 to get the 8 gigabyte model which includes a VGA video recorder and a 1.3 megapixel camera
•    Lastly, the 2-8 is just a $100 and it has 4 gigabytes worth of memory
There isn’t a single one of these models that aren’t intriguing, especially when you look at the pricing, but there is one thing that you should be forewarned about:
•    There is no access to the Google Application Marketplace
What this means that is that you’re going to need to shop through the very limited Archos application store.
Finally, there aren’t any tablets that feature 3G so if you’re someone that’s looking for true mobile connectivity you’re going to need to look elsewhere; otherwise you’ve reached the right spot.
You should be able to get all of the tablets from Archos at the very beginning of October.
