Cell Phone Comparison: Palm Pre vs. Palm Pre Plus

In a nutshell, the Palm Pre Plus on the Verizon network has more RAM and more storage capabilities than the Palm Pre on the Sprint network. Only, the fact that the Palm Pre Plus has more RAM doesn’t necessarily mean that the Plus is an all-around better phone (or that it’s faster than the Palm Pre).

When comparing the two phones, users will note that the Palm Pre will not allow as many open apps as the Palm Pre Plus. While the Plus can handle a number of apps at once, the Palm Pre will quickly alert the user that too many cards have been opened. For those who like to multitask, the Palm Pre Plus is the clear winner.

Style-wise, both the Palm Pre and the Palm Pre Plus are relatively sleek and stylish. Both phones are user-friendly, include a full keyboard, and decent screens. The main difference between the body of the Palm Pre and the Palm Pre Plus is that the Plus does not have the hardware button that the Palm Pre has. The reason for eliminating the button on the Plus was strictly a design choice, since the removal of the button makes the phone smoother.

Essentially, the Plus is a quicker and sleeker version of the Palm Pre. Gamers and those who enjoy running many different apps at once will enjoy the upgrades that the Plus has. While there aren’t a lot of major differences between the two, the Plus is a slight improvement on the original Palm Pre. Still, the Palm Pre is a good basic phone that performs better than many of its competitors.
