Share and Play Video in Your Android Phone

No matter if you’re just a casual videographer or more of a videophile capturing those precious moments in life are important. Your Android phone is something that can actually help you grab plenty of that footage along the way and then share it with the world. Through some applications you can actually carry and play movies right on your phone as well.

Share Your Videos

In order to share videos from your Android phone simply tap them in the gallery in order to open them. In order to get to the gallery you can do so through your phones application menu or by simply pressing the gallery icon that is in the upper right corner of the camera application. Simply press and then hold a video until the content menu popup and then select the share option in order to view a list of the applications that can send a video to all of your friends.
Some of the sharing options are:
• Gmail
• MMS message
• Twidroid which is a Twitter application
• YouTube
Keep in mind though that certain methods of being able to share your video are still going to have some limitations. A prime example of that is the MMS sharing option. If you want to use that option you need to shoot in low quality and make sure that you keep it 30 seconds or less in order to make sure that it is a send able size. A YouTube video can be in high quality but you have to keep it to 10 minutes or less in length.
You have an option to start video recording from within the Android messaging application. In order to do this press the messaging in the application menu, then select your recipient and then press the menu button on the phone and choose the attach option. After that choose capture video.
The default messaging is going to set your recording to low quality. If you’re not happy with the first recording that you do just simply hit the retake button and try it again. When you find yourself satisfied simply push ok and the messaging is going to then convert your video you took into the MMS format. Final step is to just press send to fire it off.
If you want to you can actually do some live broadcasting too. There is an application called Qik available for free through the Android Market and it gives you ability to stream and record video from your Android phone to a free account on http://www.qik.com There is going to be just a few short seconds of delay while the video uploads to the Qik server but it’ll come through as a good live TV feed.

Play Movies and More

To get some entertainment while you’re on the go you can simply copy your video files over to your phone and then play them back anytime that you’d like. There is a utility that is called Videora which will run on either a Windows PC or Mac and you can convert your DVDs and any other video content into a format that will be able to be played on any Android phone from Motorola and HTC.
