LG VU CU920 AT&T

Touted as a U.S. version of the LG Viewty, the LG Vu CU920 phone is a sleek touch screen for AT&T users with a 3-inch display, 2.0 megapixel camera and a full HTML browser. Best of all, we see AT&T embracing mobile TV with the LG Vu CU920.   TV phone capability was first forged by Verizon’s V Cast Mobile TV and is answered by AT&T with AT&T Mobile TV, which is delivered via Qualcomm’s MediaFLO network. For around $13 a month, you get CBS Mobile, FOX Mobile, NBC News 2Go and NBC 2Go on your LG Vu CU920, but if you’ll be using the Web browser, you may be better off spending $30 a month for more channels and unlimited Web browsing and video.

Speaking of video, the LG Vu CU920 TV phone’s camera shoots 320×240 or 166×144 videos with its built-in camcorder which can be sent to other handsets (up to 42 seconds) and can also stream one-way to other phones with AT&T’s Video Share service. Internal storage for songs, videos, pictures and apps chalks up to 120MB, but is vastly expandable via the microSD card slot which can get you up to 4 GB.

The touch screen on the LG Vu CU920 isn’t quite a smooth as the iPhone’s, but with a quick run-through of the phone’s calibration software, the navigation becomes pretty intuitive. A firm touch activates menu items and hyperlinks while a swipe scrolls through pages and menu lists. The haptic feedback is definitely nice – there’s a slight vibration when pushing buttons – and texting and dialing is surprisingly easy. The phone has a full QWERTY keyboard when placed in landscape mode which makes texting and typing in URLs a breeze. Keys also magnify upon selecting, just like the iPhone.

All in all, the LG Vu CU920 TV phone is highly attractive for its camera features, intuitive touch navigation and being one of the first AT&T Mobile TV Phones. Other specs to note:
