Google States That Apple Rejected the Google Voice iPhone Application

In strike contradiction to last month’s response to the FCC inquiry from Apple, Google states that the manufacturer of the epic iPhone had rejected the Google Voice application from being included for sale within the Apple application store.
According to papers which were made public this month by the FCC, representatives of Apple had actually informed Google of their decision of rejection. It went further to explain that the rejection had come after multiple meetings and much communication between the companies. Although these claims have been made Apple is adamant that they are still holding discussions with Google and they continue to take a look at and reexamine the application.
Apple states the application is designed to be used with Google’s new voice services and it would at least in part replace some of the essential functionality of the iPhone itself. Through the use of the application the user could place their calls and send SMS messages and also access their voicemail through using Google Voice. It’s really hard to believe that Apple would accept an application like this but for now it’s a wait and see game to see if they ever actually will.
The FCC inquiry is a part of the current investigations that they have going on in regards to the state of competition within the wireless industry as a whole.
