Android Universe, Five Android Applications to Get Your Feet Wet
Android is quickly becoming one of the most sought after consumer products since the iPhone first hit the market. Other than just being a smartphone, it’s also a very useful mobile tool. The only thing is that to get that full usability you need to know what’s out there and then make the most out of it. A big part of this is all of your android application options. To get you started let’s look at five different applications to get broken in.
Twidroid
For those that are addicted to Twitter the Android offers you something called Twidroid and this is a mobile application that can obviously give you access to the giant in social networking. Although there is a current lacking when it comes to multiple account support it is still able to allow you to navigate around Twitter just as if you’re on your desktop or laptop. Any avid Twitter user is going to completely fall in love with being able to keep connected while they’re on the move.
WordPress for Android
With blogging getting bigger and bigger as well as all of the correlation when it comes to internet marketing and all of the everyday information generally, there’s now WordPress for Android. With their simple system for navigation, WordPress allows for:
• Publishing new posts
• Comment approvals
• Page edits
• And so on
Being a blogger is only going to get easier through this application and allow you to keep all of your interests mobile.
Google Shopper
Google Shopper makes price comparisons a breeze. It’s actually something that’s truly out of a Sci-Fi movie. Although it’s simple in both the idea and the design it’s barcode scan ability and the automatic information search regarding the product makes you wonder if paying too much for items is actually a thing of the past. With being able to pull prices, ratings, reviews and other product related information it might be.
Translate
The Translate application is the mobile equivalent of the Google Translator. It’s the perfect match for anyone either traveling, or is purely interested in communication with people having language barrier problems. It currently offers 150 language pairs and will translate languages into English for you or your native language. This is something that’s really neat to say the least.
Notepad Apps
The notepad applications are something that can be completely invaluable; however, due to the basic design and the dull tone, we don’t use them very often. Google takes things another step through the use of the AK Notepad. This has the ability to spice the interface up and it makes it a much more user friendly fun application to use than the traditional Notepad.
The Google applications will do nothing other than continue to evolve over the coming years and if you’re someone that’s seeking out an Android phone you can’t go wrong, the future is only up from here. It’s Google’s world and if there isn’t now, there will be, an app for that.
